2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of BookGather per device for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• modify or copy the materials
• use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial)
• attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on BookGather
• remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Event Bookings and Payments

All event bookings are subject to availability. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. Refund policies vary by event and are clearly stated during the booking process.

5. Marketplace Transactions

BookGather operates a marketplace where authors and organizers can sell books and merchandise. By using the marketplace:

• Buyers agree to pay for items as listed and provide accurate shipping information
• Sellers agree to accurately describe items, fulfill orders promptly, and ship items as specified
• BookGather charges a 10% platform fee on all marketplace sales
• Payment processing fees (Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30) apply to all transactions
• Sellers are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales taxes
• Refunds and returns are handled between buyers and sellers according to the seller's policies
• BookGather reserves the right to mediate disputes but is not liable for transaction issues

6. Content

Users may post content such as event descriptions, profiles, product listings, and reviews. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant BookGather a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, and display such content on our platform.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
• To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• To submit false or misleading information
• To sell counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items through the marketplace
• To manipulate reviews or ratings
• To circumvent platform fees or payment processing

The information on this website is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and terms related to our website and the use of this website.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall BookGather, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential, or similar damages. BookGather acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the truth or accuracy of listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, or the ability of buyers to pay.

We reserve the right to revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
